Our standard fees are between $12.00 - $12.50 per hour/per child with the Family Levy before Child Care Subsidy (CCS) has been applied. The fee varies within this range depending on the educator's experience.
Families are required to complete the online Child Care Subsidy assessment via myGov website prior to starting at the Service. This will determine your eligibility and level of Child Care Subsidy entitlements.
Our child enrolment form will require the CRN of the person linked with the child along with the child’s CRN to be able to confirm and register attendance and ensure that you are receiving the appropriate subsidy.
Child Care Subsidy is a means-tested subsidy paid directly to the Service as a fee reduction. There are 3 factors that will determine a family’s level of Child Care Subsidy, which include:
Transitioning to Child Care Subsidy requires families to provide information and confirm current details using your Centrelink online account via myGov. You will be asked to provide your combined family income estimate for the financial year, hours of recognised activity including work, training, study and volunteering and the type of child care your family uses.
From 1 July 2023, families using child care must pay the gap fee using electronic means. The gap fee is the difference between Mini Miracles’ fee and the Child Care Subsidy (CCS) amount.
Mini Miracles Family Day Care staff and educators must use EFT for all gap fee payments and maintain adequate records, including but not limited to bank statements and/or receipts as well as bank reconciliations for each educator.
As a provider, Mini Miracles Family Day Care will ensure educators are using EFT by:
Families seeking an exemption might be eligible for Additional Child Care Subsidy. ACCS may cover all of a child’s child care fees.
Families who receive Child Care Subsidy (CCS) must make a co-contribution to their early childhood education and care fees. They do this by paying the gap fee. There are specific rules when a third party contributes to a family’s child care fees.
When a third party helps a family pay its early childhood education and care fees, Mini Miracles Family Day Care must deduct the contribution from the total session fee. The family’s CCS percentage will then be applied to the reduced session fee. This is because families are only entitled to CCS in relation to the amount Mini Miracles charges them. This is a requirement under Family Assistance Law.
There are exceptions to this rule in limited circumstances. These circumstances are known as prescribed third-party payments.
A third party may provide financial assistance to a family directly. The family may choose to use this assistance to pay for early childhood education and care. As this support is provided directly to the family, it is not considered in the calculation of CCS.
You can be paid for any absences your child may have with an approved care provider for up to 42 days per child per financial year. Additional absences beyond 42 days for certain reasons may be approved and paid. Please contact us regarding the additional absences.
Public Holidays will be counted as an absence if the child would normally have attended the Service on that weekday, and fees have been charged for that day for the child. You can access your child’s absence record on your online statement by selecting ‘View Child Care Details and Payments’ on your Centrelink online account.
Parent/guardians must notify the Educator if a child is to be absent from the service. If the child is absent on a booked day, full fees are still payable.
Parents/Guardians will need to provide two (2) weeks’ notice when ceasing care with their Family Day Care Educator. Parents/Guardians will need to inform Mini Miracles Family Day Care Service and their Educator in writing.
The Family Assistance Law states that a child must be physically in care on their last day to receive child care subsidy (CCS). If a child is absent for the last day of care, you will be required to pay your Educator full fees as CCS will not apply.
